About Me
Hi, I'm Chapmann, and I have been studying piano since the age of five. I completed my Bachelor’s in Musical Arts degree in the University of Victoria, studying under Professor Eva Kinderman for my undergraduate studies and now I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Piano performance under Professor Frédéric Lacroix for my master’s degree. I have also participated in numerous masterclasses to further develop my musicianship and teaching approach. To strengthen my pedagogical training, I continuously taught at piano studios with a focus on children and teenagers, allowing me to continuously refine my teaching methods for young learners. I have been teaching piano since 2016, and since then, I have worked as a private piano instructor all over Canada, including Vancouver, Victoria, and Ottawa, teaching students of all ages and levels. I am also currently serving as a Teaching Assistant at University of Ottawa, gaining experience in a more academic teaching environment. My goal is to provide structured, thoughtful, and supportive instruction tailored to each student.
